Chatlands + Revolvy = Deltas!

Hello!

Another year has come and gone on Wolfhome and it's parent site Chatlands. As most of you already know, Wolfhome just celebrated another anniversary! This one was a milestone of sorts. It's been FIFTEEN YEARS since Gre7g Luterman and I first opened Wolfhome on his Temple of Luna site. We ran the site on a server located for a while in my basement, then in Gre7g's basement, and finally we got serious (well more serious) and we set up on a commercial ISP, we formed an LLC 'A Thousand Words of Kansas' and we made a "go" of it.

Well, time went by. Gre7g moved to Utah, and eventually the first Wolfhome closed (WH1). It was later resurrected as a "client" software project by Kerfuffle and operated successfully under his management for a reasonable amount of time and then closed again. A short while later, RedFoxx got ahold of me, and asked me if I'd be willing to restart Wolfhome for the third time. I agreed (eventually) and here it is, *many* years later still going strong.

Since that day we've added other sites, like Cats Paw Island and then ultimately CHATLANDS, which meant that many other people could run their own 2D Avatar Chat site like Wolfhome. The Chatlands sites are still going strong. We've had some setbacks (server disk crashes and other problems) but we're growing stronger every day.

In the meantime, I have been BUSY. I'm working on a project called Revolvy with a friend and business partner, Eric Vianello. We've gotten Revolvy to what we're calling "beta mode", which means that it's working well, but that we're still evolving it. Revolvy is a social encyclopedia and a custom library of things that interest you. On Revolvy you create collections of topics + knowledge. We have millions of topics that you can discover, and then save for future reference. You can share these topics, discuss them, create "write-ups", view other related topics (and soon videos, products and other things too). We expect people will find many different ways to use our site's many features.

So, what can you do with Revolvy? Well, you can discover new and interesting topics that you never knew about (like "time travel"), or thoroughly research something that ou want to know more about (like "civil war battles"). You can save topics into folders (like "Movies I want to see" or "My favorite bands") and share them with friends who can follow them. You can get a feed of topics your friends are interested in. For example, I created a folder called Science Fiction and I'd like to invite you to discuss it and follow it.

On Revolvy, you can also take quizzes. Quizzes on music, film, geography, history, superheroes, sports, current events, style and culture and more. We have quite a few already and will be adding more daily.

As you can see, Revolvy is a BIG project and, as I said, we are still in beta. What we need right now is feedback from REAL PEOPLE using the site in real ways.

And, Dear Chatlands Subscribers, that is where YOU come in!!

You see... WE NEED YOUR HELP in order to help make Revolvy the Best It Can Be. We would like you to go over, create an account and learn about our site.
